Day 3 Game 11 Recap
Long Beach, CA lost to Monterrey, Mexico 12-9.
Monterrey, Mexico were the first to get on the board in the first when Sergio Alonso Guajardo Ochoa doubled, scoring two runs. Long Beach, CA made the score 4-2 in the top of the second after Makai William Trueblood Uiagalelei tripled, scoring three runs, and Angel David Alvarado Segovia induced Nicholas Vattana Thiem to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Monterrey, Mexico tied the game up in the bottom of the second thanks to two singles.
Long Beach, CA took the lead in the top of the third inning after Benjamin Arthur Evans hit into a fielder's choice, and Long Beach, CA scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run. Monterrey, Mexico flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring six runs on four hits to take a 10-6 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Vladimir Angulo Moreno that drove in three.
Kaenon Ferrer Mulhearn pitched first for Long Beach, CA. David Alvarado Segovia began the game for Monterrey, Mexico.
Trueblood Uiagalelei led Long Beach, CA with three runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup.
Abdiel Enrique Zavala Perez and Leonardo Cuevas Garza each collected multiple hits for Monterrey, Mexico. Monterrey, Mexico had patience at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. Alonso Guajardo Ochoa and Roberto Garza Vallejo led the team with two walks each.
