Day 2 Game 8 Recap
Guaynabo, Puerto Rico beat Long Beach, CA 5-1.
A ground out by Zarek Suarez Rodriguez put Guaynabo, Puerto Rico on the board in the top of the third. Leonard Joseph Graham IV singled, which helped Long Beach, CA tie the game at one in the bottom of the third. Guaynabo, Puerto Rico took the lead in the top of the fourth. Julio A. Ramos Ortiz singled, scoring one run, to give Guaynabo, Puerto Rico the lead, 2-1.
Yandiel Serrano Aviles stepped on the mound first for Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Makai William Trueblood Uiagalelei opened the game for Long Beach, CA.
Diego Calderon Cruz provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Guaynabo, Puerto Rico with two runs batted in.
Brayton Rey Paculba, Kaenon Ferrer Mulhearn, Noah Joseph Alves, Kailer Alden Ryan, Graham IV, and Gavin Thomas Reyes each collected one hit for Long Beach, CA. Thiem stole two bases. Long Beach, CA turned two double plays in the game.
