Day 4 Game 14 Recap

Guaynabo, Puerto Rico stayed in it until the end, but Monterrey, Mexico pulled away late in a 1-0 victory.
The game was tied at zero in the top of the eighth when Eliam Loyd Baez Maldonado induced Abdiel Enrique Zavala Perez to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. The pitching was strong on both sides. Monterrey, Mexico pitchers struck out 12, while Guaynabo, Puerto Rico sat down six. Julio A. Ramos Ortiz stepped on the mound first for Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out six and walking two. Leonardo Cuevas Garza started on the bump for Monterrey, Mexico. They surrendered three hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out 10 and walking three. Jeremy Sanchez, Gian A.
